A:Answer Surprisingly good. My son has been using this monitor as an external display connected to two different HP laptops since I bought it for him. The picture quality is excellent, both in "mirror" mode at the same resolution as the laptops (usually 1366x768) and in "extended" or "exclusive" modes using the laptop's GPU to drive it at full HD (1920x1080). While framerates WILL vary based on your laptop's internal hardware and the requirements of the application when run in different resolutions, the display itself is crisp and beautiful, with clean, accurate color. None of that, "Hmm. Is it just me, or do their faces look a bit orange there?" Like I've seen on some of the really cheap monitors coming out of China. If what you're looking for is a nice-sized external display to watch videos, surf the internet, or play games your laptop can run but on a larger display, then I can say I'd recommend it. [It has also been pressed into service as a video display for our Xbox One, and it outperforms the Sony television to which the Xbox one is normally connected. Only thing lacking is speakers, but with Xbox One and a headset, that's not actually a downside with you're a mother surrounded by 12-year-old boys playing video games... ;-) ]
