Black ink is cheaper but you ultimately need to use all the inks to avoid printhead damage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's cheaper to print in B&W unless you need the color in your print out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Black is cheaper. Color uses more ink from all 3 color cartridges as opposed to 1 cartridge.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is cheaper to replace the black one as opposed to using up all your color ink to make black.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Black ink cartridges usually have more ink than color cartridges and cost either the same or less than color cartridges so it is always cheaper to print in black and white. I only print in color when I really need to have color for what I am printing, otherwise I use gray scale/black & white because it is cheaper.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not an expert but I use black only. I don't like that each color goes down at different rates. It combines colors to get black. Depending on the colors needed will change the amount used for a certain color. I always select black and white for default colors when printing. Simpler and I don't need color. I even use the HP print app. Works perfect printing in black and white on my phone and tablet.
