Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I googled your question and it appears the correct HP ink for your HP Deskjet 2050 printer is the HP61. The HP61xl just gives you more printouts. It will last longer, but does cost more as well. My family and I do alot of printing, so I usually try to purchase the HP ink that has the xl on it. I hope this information helps you. Ask the staff at Best Buy and they can help you as well.
