“Is it better to buy combo pack or individual cartridges? Is the ink the same amount in each cartridge whether you purchase in a combo pack or individually. I was curious if I were to purchase just a single black cartridge or a color cartridge if that has the same amount of ink as the combo pack cartridges with the black and color cartridges purchased together? Thanks. Just trying to see if there is any benefit purchasing them individually vs. combo packs.”

I prefer the combo pack. Although I print mostly black and white, it appears to use both for the process. Buying them separately only creates more trips to the store. It is nice to have it handy when it runs out.

This is supposed to mean that you should get up to 2.5 times more pages. (I would have to count every single page that I print and copy to verify if this is true). Unless you use AN AWFUL LOT of color pages, it has been more economical for me to purchase two black ink cartridges together in a pack, and one color by itself. Either way, along with doing a price match with Amazon, you really don't save much money whatever decision that is made.
