Bought HP XL + Tri Colors, printer was saying low ink after less than a 100 pages. Before I ordered this I bought an off brand that was compatible with HP it worked great for half the price, and I got an honest 400 pages (mostly color) out of it. I'm very disappointed in HP. I will not purchase again, its twice the cost for less printing.

However, if you can do not use the "best" setting on your printer as this uses the greatest amount of ink per object being printed. The normal or draft settings will use much less ink and often will give the same print quality. Depends upon the type of image you desire.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Got the xl ink cartridges. Just after printing 5 color pages the ink is already showing low :( I don’t know if this is a technical problem or what.. But so disappointing..!! Also the ink subscription is not worth it.. I’m Planning on replacing the whole printer now.. hp printers are not expensive but they have literally made the ink super expensive.

With my membership and the returned empty I'm replacing, Best Buy's price is far better than Walmart of Staples. No, the Tri Color XL will not print 3 times as many pages. I get about 2 1/2 times as many, but nearly all of my work is with color photos at the highest quality level. I go through about 2 Tri Color 62 XLs a month and 1 Black 62XL. I will not buy the standard cartridge due to the greater overall expense. I buy ALL of my ink at Best Buy. Paper is a toss-up between them and Walmart (can't return used paper!)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't pay twice as much for the high-yield cartridge. It depends on you if you want to keep buying the standard cartridge or put out a little bit more money & not have to buy an ink cartridge as often. It's your choice.
