It was interchangeable for me when HP sent the 65 instead of the 63 for my HP 5255 officejet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I could only use HP63. I tried the 64 and it didn’t work. Look the same but didn’t working
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have an HP OfficeJet 5258 which came with HP 63 ink. We signed up for their Instant Ink program and HP sent us HP 65/304 cartridges.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We are in the HP Instant Ink program too, and they sent us no.65 even when it says our printer (HP OfficeJet 3830) should use only no.63. I assume it is safe to use 65 if HP themselves are sending us those.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should always try to use the original cartridge type that the printer asks for. However, some printers that use 63 cartridges can use 65, although they'll show a message that it's an unexpected/unsupported cartridge. I use the HP InstantInk service and they sent me 65 cartridges for a printer that supports 63 and the cartridges worked perfectly fine, even though they were physically smaller. This might mean they hold less ink, but I also noticed the print nozzles are smaller too, which could just mean they print shorter lines but hold the same amount of ink.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, The ink cartridges are intended for different models,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would guess that the difference is the arrangement of the sensors and possibly the housing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, they are not interchangeable. Even thought they can fitn in the slot, the printer will say cartridge incomapatible message or cartridge error message.
