Printing one page per week is also a good way to keep the printer lubricated and always ready to print. You may want to consider one of the affordable LaserJet models that print only in black and white. Laser printers use toner, a substance that melts when printing and delivers the image to the page. It might be better in long-term use for infrequent monochrome printing.
