I had to return it because I don't have a Wi-Fi router to connect it through as I purchase my internet off a hot spot in the area.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Uses direct wifi. Direct wifi is not your homes wifi. It is a wifi that only works with your printer. It is very easy to set up. You can also use old fashioned direct USB connection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In order to use it via usb, you need to download another program that doesn’t come with the driver. First you have to open an HP account in order to download that usb program. Unfortunately, after trying dozens of times , HP never sent the email to verify my account and activate it, so I could never download the usb program . I had to return it after a month.

Please try again later.Technically the printer will connect to a local computer using USB, but then you will get a message on the panel that says "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink", which requires an internet connection. So... no. This printer has so many user handcuffs it's unusable.
