- Answer 12GB of DDR4 RAM and Intel Core i7-7500U Dual-core, four-way processor. I bought one in early May and it beat my expectations!

QuestionOne of the negative reviews indicates that this is NOT a touchscreen computer, yet the description still indicates that it is. Which is it? Touchscreen or not?

- Answer it showed a touchscreen symbol on the bottom of the ad. I assumed that it was a touchscreen, but its not.

- Answer Only 90 days from HP but, at half the price of the new one, I'm rolling the dice and hoping for the best. I feel very confident that it will stay problem free, since HP refurbished it. If you want some positive reassurance, you can buy the Geek Squad Service Plan and still be way ahead of the cost of the new laptop price.

- Answer Hi Tom, available only on line. I ordered it on bestbuy.com but, it isn't available in store. The refurbished HP Laptop comes directly from HP, they do the refurbishing and ship it free to the Best Buy Store of your choice and you pick it up after Best Buy notifies you for pick up or you can choose to have it shipped to you for a Shipping Charge.

QuestionI just purchased one of these, and overall it seems pretty good, I haven't had much time to use it. The only question I have is it supposed to be all scratched up? I didn't think refurbished models were supposed to be as badly scratched is this.

- Answer Thank you for reaching out. It depends on who did the refurbishing. Typically an HP Refurbished PC will be in like new condition with perhaps only slight scuffing if it was not noticed. Heavy scratching would be unusual.

- Answer The included 4 USB ports are standard USB ports. The USB-C port is much smaller and the cable to connect using this port is typical of modern smartphones.

- Answer Hi HPUser, I bought this model and I believe it does but, don't hold me to it. It has 4 USB ports to connect accessories and a USB 3.1 Type C Port. Other people who bought this model also bought a WD - easystore® 4TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive - Black See attached recommended other products.

- Answer The description clearly states that this is NOT a touchscreen. Personally I have no idea why anyone would want a touchscreen. This is a very capable laptop in any case.

- Answer So far I have had this computer just over 2 weeks an I am pleased with the HP Envy 17-ae0ca i7-7500 cpu 2.7ghz computer. I am not happy with the Windows 10 Operating System. My last computer was all most the same as this one, except it ran on Windows 8.1 and had a touch screen which I never used. I can not tell you if the is a good gaming computer for gaming because I do not run any games on it other than the Microsoft Flight Simulator 10. The Flight Simulator runs a lot better than on my old laptop, but I have not pushed the settings up to the max yet. In general with the 12gb memory and faster cpu browsing the internet is a lot faster. Also I have been getting 8 hours on the battery non gaming mode. I purchased this because it was cheaper than my old laptop. I just wish it came with Windows 8.1 instead.
