- Answer It doesn't have an auto-off feature that can't be disabled, however, it does have a "sleep mode" that can't be disabled. The printer will automatically wake up as soon as it's sent a print job.

- Answer Filling in the blanks (things like payee, dollar amount, etc.) is handled by whatever software you're using to print the checks. The printer will be able to handle the information that program sends to it.

- Answer Unfortuantely, no. The Envy 6055 uses either the 67 or the high-capacity 67XL ink cartridges. The 564 cartridges are not compatible, and it's been several years since any of HP's printer lineup used the 564 ink cartridges.

- Answer I do not know if it is compatible with a chromebook. I do know that the power button in on the back of the machine in a bad location if you have a tight space. Only choose this printer, because of covid choices were very limited.

- Answer No, it does not. As a basic printer, scanner and copier, it's great though. I would recommend the HP ink smart monthly program, it really does save you money. I only buy HP printers.

QuestionHey HP Team: Your PDF DOES NOT explain how to use the 6055e scanner with a Mac ... unless I agree to the HP+ / lifetime ink commitment. Please post specific instructions IN YOUR ANSWER HERE if it is possible to use the scanner via Mac without HP+.

- Answer Once again, HP refuses to answer the question with simple instructions, but instead refers to links and documents that DO NOT SHOW HOW TO USE THE SCANNER WITHOUT AGREEING TO THE HP+ LIFETIME INK AGREEMENT. That's because, if you don't agree to buy your ink from HP forever, the scan, copy and other features don't work. Here's the error message: "For HP+ printers to function as expected and receive the benefits of HP+, you must create or sign in to an HP account, keep the printer connected to the Internet, and use Original HP ink or toner for the life of the printer."

- Answer There is NOTHING in this PDF that shows how anyone can the 6055e scanner with a Mac without the HP+ / lifetime ink commitment. You are either ignorant or intentionally misleading. Prove me wrong. Just copy and paste or post a screen cap right here that shows - step x step - how anyone can use the 6055e with a Mac to scan a document WITHOUT the HP+ / lifetime ink commitment. I'll wait.
