A:AnswerThe HP Envy Pro 6455 printer can print, copy, and scan. It does not have the fax function. You can use the HP Smart app to send faxes. The HP Envy Pro 6455 printer uses the HP 67, 67XL, or 67XXL. I would recommend searching Best Buy's website for the current prices on the ink cartridges. HP 67 black yields about 120 pages. HP 67 tricolor yields about 100 pages. HP 67XL black yields about 240 pages. HP 67XL tricolor yields about 200 pages. HP 67XXL black yields about 400 pages. HP 67XXL tricolor yields about 330 pages.
A:AnswerIf you are connected to the internet it never turns off. There is a power button above the power cable. I just turned mine off, this is the first day I owned it and the light was driving me nuts. If you need to print from your phone via the app then the power has to stay on. Personally I think the light will eventually burn out if it runs 24/7.
I had the old Envy 4500 for years, the scanner went. That is the only reason I purchased this one. The 4500 went into a power saving mode automatically and the power button was right on the front of the printer.
A:AnswerHP's response was interesting. The product description clearly states that there is a USB port for PC connection.
HP are saying that with this USB PC connection the scan feature will not perform its function? Every other HP printer I've ever had did.
A:AnswerIt does come with ink. Two standard cartridges come with the printer, one tri-color ink and the other black ink. The Instant Ink is a subscription service it's much cheaper than buying cartridges at you own time. So it says. I have yet not tried this service.
A:AnswerYes, the HP Envy Pro 6455 printer is compatible with the Chromebook. Once you connect the printer to your wireless connection, follow these instructions: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04122530
A:AnswerYes, you can scan up to 35 pages through the auto document feeder. It cannot scan double sided documents through the auto document feeder. And you can also scan one page at a time on the flatbed scanner.
A:AnswerAs long as your computer has Windows 7, 8, or 10, you can use this printer. You can also print photos on photo paper on this printer. We recommend using HP Everyday, Advanced, or Premium Plus photo paper.
A:Answerno.
max size of print is 8X10
the tray will not adjust for longer paper. i'm so mad. i've never purchased a printer that had a paper length limitation!
how much money does it cost to add a plastic hinge so the tray can expand the paper length....probably a big whopping $2.00 or something!!!! i'm beyond frustrated!!!!
A:AnswerThe instructions with this printer are basically nothing. If you are not a total techie----very frustrating. I went on the "hpsmart.com/envypro6400" site. At some point the printer did spit out a Printer Information page that told me a little but not much. No explanation of what light stands for what----nothing!!! Most of my information I gathered from answers to pages of questions in the Best Buy reviews and wrote them down for myself to refer to. HPSmart does not mean self--explanatory. Once I did some trial and error, it does seem to be working and prints well. The little blue icon is the Wi-Fi and once it is stable it should be ready. Mine eventually kind of set up itself and worked. Not much help, but I feel your frustration.
A:AnswerThe HP Envy Photo 7855 printer has a 2nd paper tray for 4 x 6 and 5 x 7 inch photo paper. You can print photos from a SD card and USB flash drive. You can also scan to a SD card and USB flash drive. There is a 2.65" Color touchscreen on the 7855 printer. You can also print on legal size paper. The HP Envy Pro 6455 printer can only print on paper up to 8.5 x 11 inches. It also does not have a control panel. There are only buttons that light up when you need them. Lastly, there is only one paper tray on this printer.
A:AnswerWhen you set up the printer using the HP Smart App that you install on your cellphone the App will walk you through the installation process on your computer and will install the printer on your computer including the driver. You do not need to find the driver separately.
The printer does print double-sided.
I am using my printer set up with my wi-fi (wireless) and my other computer is also wireless so I can see my new printer on my old computer as well since both are on the same wi-fi.
This is a great printer that I bought to work from home.
