- Answer top to bottom = 13.5 inches; front to back-the case is 12 inches but there are things in the back making it really 13 inches; side to side = 6 inches

QuestionWhere do you place the disc in the HP Envy desktop. I only see the slot for the hardrive

- Answer Flip open the top half of the second slat from the left as you face the tower. Once open, push the inside and the disc will pop out for you to inset the disc.

- Answer This would be great for a small business. It is very quick with a large 512GB solid state drive, and with the 12GB memory it would be excellent for heavy multitasking. It will run most software as well. It would not be good for pc gaming.

QuestionI need to buy a new computer (tower only). All my devices are HP brand, (monitor, mouse, keyboard, printer, external speakers). If I buy another brand of tower, will I be able to connect or use my older HP brand devices? Old tower is HP Pavilion.

- Answer Most of the devices will work with a newer HP desktop. The only think that would not connect might be an older mouse or keyboard with a PS2 connector on it. USB connected keyboards and mice will work. The Desktop has VGA and HDMI for monitor connection. Most recent HP printers will work with Windows 10. There are connections for external speakers. A WIRELESS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD ARE INCLUDED.

- Answer They transferred all my files over, no problems. But not programs of course. I signed up for the one year total tech support, which included the initial set up & transfer

- Answer My son uses it for this as well and it works perfect! He loves it. Just note that it doesn’t come with a monitor, so you must instal your own And have it read ya or else you’ll just have a desktop with no way of seeing it lol.

Questionwhat is a solid state drive?

- Answer Think of it as a Flash drive that is permanently mounted inside the computer instead of being plugged into a USB port. It replaces the electro-mechanical hard drives that store the information (Operating system, you programs and data) using magnetic media. They are much faster because there are no physical discs to spin or heads to move to read/write from/to the drive. Your machine will boot MUCH faster and anything involving the disk will be much faster.

- Answer Speaker connection is a plug in in the back. It is a plug in and the best thing is to talk to a sales personnel where You purchased it regarding expanding to speakers! Usually it would be the display to attach external speakers. I always use a LCD HD TV instead of a LCD Monitor for a better picture and all the output (Audio, etc.) and input jacks for additional devices (HDMI's, Components, Composites and Antenna! This way You can also add whatever external audio receiver and speakers You want to it. There would be no comparison to a simple speaker addition to the desktop!
