There are 2 paper trays located under the display in the front. This printer also has an ADF which can hold up to 35 sheets. You don't need a phone cord unless you plan to use the fax capabilities. If you are using the fax, the cord goes into a port on the back corner of the printer. You can print from a photo by placing the photo on the flatbed of the printer, or you can print from a memory card or computer and select the number of copies you want. The paper trays and feeder can hold photo paper. The screen can also provide information about the printer and it's functions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a paper tray below the printer. Pull it open & put paper there. It has options for paper or photos. Also use the ? Icon which has a list of helpful Q&A. Have not used the photo option yet. I believe phone cord is if you wish to connect fax svcs

You do not need a phone cord unless you're wanting to use fax functions (which require a landline). If you're wanting to lay down photos or documents to make copies or scans, the document feeder or flatbed would be your best choices!
