If you are connected to the internet it never turns off. There is a power button above the power cable. I just turned mine off, this is the first day I owned it and the light was driving me nuts. If you need to print from your phone via the app then the power has to stay on. Personally I think the light will eventually burn out if it runs 24/7. I had the old Envy 4500 for years, the scanner went. That is the only reason I purchased this one. The 4500 went into a power saving mode automatically and the power button was right on the front of the printer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have failed to turn off the glowing light
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After opening HP Smart App https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03561640. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you find the button on the back of the printer, keep it depressed for up to 5 seconds. When all the lights on the control panel illuminate together then release the button and power will go off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I despise this printer. Light stays on unless you power it down and completely cut it off. What a waste of electricity. Money too. Printer is complicated to set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes - by returning the printer. This was setup in a guest room, and if I had wanted a night light I would have put on in. Not sure of why the design team thought it was necessary to put this "feature" in but it is not something wanted or needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I hate this printer, the glowing light is such an annoying feature. I wish I have returned this printer. Even to lower the brightness it is still glows so bright. auto shut off is configured to shut off in 2 hours of inactivity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I taped over the light. I could not find anywhere that suggested it could be turned off. My printer is in a guest bedroom. I wish it would burn out. I hate this printer for many reasons and can't believe it was priced high.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the light remains on on the keypad
