“how do I scan docs to my computer with my HP 6455 - I do not want to have to set up account at HP MFP Scan? I just want to feed my docs into my HP Envy Pro 6455, tell it the email address I want the docs to go to and then press SCAN, can I do that?”

You will need to connect to the APP to scan! UGH ... I miss my previous HP printer where all i had to do was lock in an email address. But with this machine there are no buttons on it to select SCAN or PRINT or COPY. it has to be done through the APP

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, Debi. The only way you can scan to email is through the HP Smart app either on a smartphone, tablet, and computer. You would scan the document or photo, then choose to Share the photo (jpeg) or document (PDF) via email. In the HP Smart app, you can set up a Smart Task (Short Cut) to make it easier to scan to email. In other words, if you constantly are scanning documents to a particular email address all the time.
