This laptop should be good for programming and coding. It is a Zen 3 processor so it has really good single core performance, and 6 cores so good multicore performance. As far as I know some compilers are able to take advantage of more cores so if you know exactly what you’ll be doing then you may need more cores. If you’re doing AI or machine learning or picture processing you will definitely want more cores or a computer that has an Nvidia RTX 3000 series GPU.
