I have the same problem. As mentioned above, it's a driver issue. Tech support spent hours with me loading & loading drivers and it still fails. Finally, their solution was to have me go to the paid tech support organization for a fix. It is still broken. My advice is, if at all possible, return the laptop and getting something else.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had the same problem, because AMD issued a malfunctioning driver that was included in both the 1909 and 2004 Windows update packages. My unit was sent back twice for special installation and still not corrected. Now AMD seems to have issued a corrected driver and with HP online support it is working fine. Don't think this would happen with an Intel chip though.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you turn up the volume. Q1-hardware or software? Use a headphones with microphone and plug in. If that works your pc micro might not be working. Q2- is the microphone setup in software properly. Hp has some support software. Run that and test. Use a program like zoom to test does microphone work There are lots of places in the System that allow adjustment of microphone. That’s not an answer for here. Try Geek squad.
