A:AnswerAs I mentioned on another question, this laptop can indeed be upgraded to 32GB. I just finished the upgrade on mine. See pic attached for config.
RAM I used:
Crucial 32GB DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMM Memory Kit (2 x 16GB)
BH #CRCT2K16G4S8 • MFR #CT2K16G4SFD832A
A:AnswerIt’s a bit confusing but AMDs Ryzen line of mobile processors specifically began with the 2000U series. The 4000U series mobile processors are in fact 3rd gen.
A:AnswerMost laptops don't come with DVD drives any more since software is downloadable, and movies and videos are streamable or downloadable as is music. You can always use an external DVD drive like this one to read or write DVDs or CDs:

A:AnswerYou can upgrade the RAM up to 32 gigabytes. There isn't a spare slot to add a second NVMe M.2 drive, but you can replace the existing drive with one with a higher capacity.
A:AnswerThe laptop has great specs, but you would probably want 16GB of RAM. I understand that for 4K editing, you will need some 16 GB of Ram to keep it smooth. It is very critical that you have sufficient memory for your editing software.
A:AnswerYou can put any SSD of any size as long as it fits an M.2 slot. I would strongly recommend an NVMe SSD that's X2 PCIe lanes (you could go x4 but it will only use 2 PCIe lanes) because the one that's included is NVMe. I provided two image samples of what it would look like.
