Also, does the sale end on the same day in-stores as it does online, or does the online store have different sale-dates from actual best buy store locations?”

Your best bet is to watch the price for a while. I bought my computer on May 11 and on memorial day the price had dropped by $50. Best Buy has a 15 day price match guarantee. So I got the difference back. Best time to get it is around holidays when stores do the sales. Just be patient and shop around for the best price. I checked the price every few days and was surprised that it fluctuated so much. It would go from $649 back to the $$799 price and back down again.
