A:Answer I had issues with my microphone last week, too. I was on a Zoom call and the other participants could not hear me. Despite using every common Zoom audio problem fix, no one could hear me. I found it extended through Skype and Facebook Messenger, which led me to believe the problem was with the microphone itself. I was able to temporarily override the mic problem by connecting my laptop to my bluetooth headphones, but that didn't last very long. Wired earbuds also didn't make a difference. No one I tried to talk to could hear me. I cleared out the caches, rebooted the computer, checked settings, found an online mic test, but couldn't find the problem. I shut down the computer and decided that if the problem persisted into the next day, I'd make an appointment with the Geek Squad and if they couldn't fix the laptop, I'd get a new one. The next day, I started the computer and checked the microphone -- all was well. I have no clue if clearing out the browser caches was the trick that finally got the microphone to work right, but after a frustrating night, the mic fixed itself and hasn't had a problem since.
