- Answer HP has an Ink/Toner Subscription program called Instant Ink. When you setup this printer, you connect it to the internet and link it to an HP Account. They ship you ink/toner as needed. If you choose to enroll in the Ink Subscription, HP will allow you to print for free for 6 months. What is ironic, depending on how many pages you end up printing, you may never exhaust the Toner cartridge that this printer comes with before that free 6 month trial period ends. So for many of the people that sign up for this, that free 6 months you're just using the toner cartridge it already came with. HP says the approximate page yield for this printer is 950 pages, however I don't believe that is for the starter cartridge that this printer comes with out of the box.

QuestionIf I scan a multi-page document, will it save it as a single file?

- Answer Yes. When you scan a page, the printer will ask if you've got another page to scan. If you tell it yes, it will create a file with boh pages in it. You should be able to do that with as many pages as you'd like.

- Answer Thank you for the question. Any HP model printer with an "e" in the suffix (such as this LaserJet Pro M140we) is an HP+ printer and requires internet service to connect with HP to order ink before you run out. For the free additional warranty, HP requires internet to verify that Genuine HP cartridges are in place. There are models that don't require an internet connection. Look for printers without the "e" suffix.
