A:AnswerI use MS Word to print envelopes. GO to TOOLS, select Letter and Mailings; then Select Envelopes and Labels. The envelopes go into the slot above the paper tray Flap DOWN and to the Left.
A:AnswerIf you've got the machine on, it will go into a "slumber" mode until a job is sent to it. After printing, it will remain active for a while, then return to slumber until the next job comes through.
If you've turned the machine off, it will not automatically turn back on.
A:Answeryes, many set up options
At home I set it up wireless, My desktop is not wireless and connects thru network cable to router. The all my other devices print wirelessly. Apple products printed with AirPrint no software needed to be installed. My wireless Microsoft laptops and desktops need brother software to be installed. Call brother if you need help they are friendly
A:AnswerI have a S7 edge. I put the hp app on my phone. The printer has it's own email address. It's been a while since I've printed that way, but when I did, I had a bit of a learning curve. After I set up the email address, password then PIN number and tried it a few times, it's really easy. You can print that way from any device.
A:AnswerYes, the top lifts up or rotates up to 90 degrees away from the scanner glass which enables odd sized documents, thick papers, receipts, book pages, etc. up to 8.5 x 11 in size to be placed down and scanned.
A:AnswerAll toner cartridges have a yield based on page count and % coverage. HP OEM toner (black) should be 1500 pages at 5% coverage. Remember, this could go down or up based on the printing needs, print a full black and white picture and it could use more toner than 2 or 3 pages.
I just print until I'm out and then buy more, that way I can get all I can out of my money.
A:AnswerGood question. Yes, you can print from smartphones, tablets, and mobile devices to this printer. The only requirement is that the iPad be on the same WiFi network as the printer.
I hope this helps.
A:AnswerThe fax works and can do up to 25 pages but make sure they are WRINKLE FREE! Any bent pages will cause a jam or miss a page or two. Watch out for the pages when they come out too from the ADF. If they are bent or wrinkled, they may not stack properly and will start falling out of the printer.
A:AnswerYou should probably contact HP customer support for the answer to your question. The vast majority of people print onto plain paper, virtually all of the time, and probably don't print labels very often, if at all.
A:AnswerNo Color laser printers do not (IMHO) make as good picture's even using premium paper.
Good photo printers use 6 colors to print vivid color. Buy a laser printer for documents, flyers, reports and such but not for great pictures.
A:AnswerYes, Apple AirPrint drivers are available if you download the install package from HP. There is also a fax driver and full fax functionality available for OS X 10.11 (you can send or receive faxes from your Mac) but you may not see it as part of the regular HP install for OS X package. You might need to add it as part of the non-AirPrint printer (seen as just the regular m277dw printer) under printer the Mac System Preferences > Printers and Scanners after letting OS X download it's own built in support for the m277dw. This may not be seen as available after just the Airprint driver installation. I mention this because this is contrary to some users reporting fax not being supported for OS X. That's not true. Full fax functionality is there. You just need to add the Fax for m277dw under the add printer section after it pops up as available. Make sure you have the m277dw properly connected to your network (network router) via Ethernet or Wireless.
