I don't know how many pages, but I would. We have only had ours a couple of weeks and I have only printed maybe 10 pages so far, and am fine. But, my son works for a small law firm (2 attorney firm) and they bought this same printer. My son advised me when I bought it to purchase ink because it was more of a sample ink that came with it and ran out quickly. It really is a nice printer. My son recommended it because of his experience with it at work. Don't buy their ink refill plan though. He said it was expensive and then they control your printer and can shut it down- no option to change your mind and just buy it on your own. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I literally printed 10 brochures (two sides) and ran out of ink. Last 2-3 brochures were probably only 20% colored compared with the first 4-5 copies. I will order new ink and if get the same result, this will be absolute waste of money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got about 250 black and white copies before the original ink was inconsistent. I strongly recommend that you sign up with HP instant ink. You pay a monthly fee for the number of copies you print. You can change your plan anytime you want. Your use is monitored and new cartridges are sent automatically

As people that are retired, we do most of our “work” on computers and printing at night and in the early morning hours. It’s 1:09am, PST now. The Instant Ink Program has been a godsend! We never run out of ink in the middle of a job and need to postpone/suspend our printing until the next time we leave our home. We LOVE the Instant Ink Program. We always have ink on hand, because HP automatically sends it before we need it. HP also sends return, postage paid envelopes, for our used cartridges. The boxes that the ink cartridges are shipped in are sturdy and have been really useful around our home, too. Because of the Instant Ink Program and the ability to change our printing plan (upgrade immediately) we aren’t shopping for competitive All-In-One Printers by any other brand.
