No. You need a land line for fax capability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. Traditional faxing, yes, you need a landline phone. However, you may want to look into a service called "e-Fax". This does not require a landline. It does cost per month. It's almost the same concept of scanning something and emailing it. With e-Fax, you scan the document and the computer will connect through the internet and the other party's phone line. It will still be received.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This printer requires a fax-compatible telephone line to send and receive faxes. There are a few VoIP (i.e. Internet) phone packages which have a fax-compatible connection, but I have not tried any of them, yet. I was doing some research for a business with a VoIP service and a device needs to be installed with both voice and fax line jacks (or you could use the fax line as a second line.) The key is FAX-COMPATIBLE connection, devices like MagicJack are not generally compatible (nor reliable enough if you do get it to work).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do need a land line. Suggest that you scan whatever documents you wanted to Fax and send it by Email. I've had an HP printer for years with Fax capabilities and have never used it.
