To scan a document, you simply click the scan option within the HP software once you have loaded the document in the feeder or placed it on the glass.

Keep the document that needs to be scanned on the scanner..and you can choose to scan. The best way to do is download the HP Smart App and select scan from there once the product is registered..this way you will directly control the printer and see the scanned images on your mobile and then you can send it to E-Mail address from the mobile..
