Can it be used to print envelopes and if so how null

Hello Lou! Yes, you absolutely can! Here is an illustrated how-to guide for loading envelopes: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06198816 - Please note that you will still need to select the correct paper size and paper type settings for each print job.

It does not have the ability to have envelops go inside to be printed.

Yes, simply look for the size envelope in the settings for paper size and match to envelope and depending it can be centered in the printer using the blue tab(s) placed upside down where you would moisten the envelope to mail or upright. Use word also to help print.
