When I bought mine it wouldn't recognize the color cartridge. I even went to HP's website and followed all their procedures on cleaning and installing (it would print using only the black cart, but color was my main reason for buying it). I gave up and returned it for the same model and that one's been fine.

New cartridge worked fine. Still disappointing that this day in a age a printer company ships its product with defective cartridges
