• You can actually updgrade this laptop to a max of 64GB RAM DDR4 @ 3200MHz. Please note that this laptop does not provide XMP support in the BIOS, so when buying RAM, make sure that it is low voltage (e.g., 1.2V instead of 1.35V) otherwise you will run into the same issue i did, which is searching endlessly in the HP BIOS & support forums to figure out how to enable XMP (which is not available).

• Yes it can be upgrade to 32GB by replacing the current 16GB( 8X2) with 32 (16x2)
