I added an addition case fan in the top. Also use the Ryzen master software because I read the HWMonitor wakes up the cores and inflates the temps.. Mine was idling at 50C. In advanced Windows Power Management the setting for “Minimum Processor State” was set to 99%. So all the cores were running at full speed all the time. This cause the processor temps to be high. I set the “Minimum Processor State” down to 20% which allows the cores to throttle down when not in use. This has reduced my Idle temperatures to a better but not ideal 40 degrees Celsius. I can live with that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You may try going into the HP Omen app and changing your fan speed. Turn it to ultra when gaming and normal when not. Mine runs from 38-54 degrees.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The stock cooler does not cover enough of the CPU (it only covers a small circle). This leads to thermal throttling. If you monitor the CPU frequency you will see it lower as the CPU heats up. You can adjust the fan speed but this will only get you so far. The real fix is to upgrade the CPU cooling. This will most likely void your warranty so think it over. There are a some great videos on YouTube that can guide you. If you go with an upgraded cooler you have to be carful that the cooler will fit. You can go with an AIO water cooler or with a heatsink style. I went with a Noctua NH-U9S chromax.Black, 92mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black) and added a second fan to it. Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HH6G48J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My CPU temps even when under heavy load never go above 60C and it idles around 30C. The sound level is very low. The case will only fit a 120 mm AIO radiator. Also an AIO can leak. If you would like to see more, check out this link. http://www.ccsnet.com/newpc

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A question and answer forum like this isn't the best way to get this question answered. If you contact the HP support team, they'll be able to determine if there's a problem with the computer, either in how it's configured or with a part.
