• All HDDs or SSDs that use a SATA cable will work on this computer, up to 4 additional HDDs/SSDs. There are four SATA ports on the motherboard (plus the onboard SSD NVMe slot occupied by the 1TB SSD it ships with). They decided to include a SATA cable in HDD1 for you, incase you have a drive and no sata cables (nice of them). So you can support 4 additional drives, and there are 2 HDD mounts and 2 standard SSD mounts.

• Thank you for the question. Most if not all external SSDs will be compatible with the Omen 40L. It depends on how you want to connect (USB Type-A or USB Type-C) and what storage capacity you'd like.
