- Answer So ive seen an official HP answer above on this 690 as well as another computer in this hp pavilion gaming computer (with the same external casing) on best buy that had another HP answer that say you can exchange it. But im hearing is that you can't. I honestly dont know how you can. HP is being very shady about this. I opened up the case myself and measured the PSU. Its 2.8125 x 2.9375 x 6.25 inch or 71.4375 x 74.6125 x 158.75 mm. So not only is this PSU NOT standard but proprietary. ALSO, the motherboard seems to be proprietary as well and must be replaced too. NOW HP...lets see what you say about the above.. I was really happy with this product but because you can't upgrade it fully, I'll probably be returning this product.

QuestionI just recently bought this PC in hopes of playing black ops 4. On launch, It says I do not meet the minimum 8gb system memory requirement. How would I go about fixing it? Would simply adding another 8gb RAM fix this? If so, what type of RAM Is compatible

- Answer Yes, upgrading the memory would solve the issue. We apologize that the original configuration was not strong enough!! Your system can support up to 32G of RAM, Type DDR4-2666, with speed PC4-21300 MB/s. Adding an additional 8G card of this type would be perfect, or you can do two 16G cards of this type.

- Answer Yes, this computer has more than enough power for those games. It only has the minimum required for Twitch, so you might occasionally experience lag (depending on your internet connection and other external factors), but for the most part it will run just fine.

- Answer This desktop uses type DDR4-2400 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets, speed PC4-19200 for the 8G that it currently has. We'd recommend getting another one just like it!

- Answer It looks to be a M.2 sata drive. MZNLN128HAHQ-00H1.(Device manager). Key M+B. It will be much slower than a NVMe SSD.

- Answer Not a PC "expert", so take this with a grain of researched salt. I'm the kind of guy who does a large amount of focused research prior to making any purchase with long-term implications, be that usage or amount paid for the item. The RAM you've linked is not a brand with which I am familiar; appears the limited reviews suggest Q/C problems with this product. We decided on two, matched sticks of G-Skill "Flare-X" RAM, as G-Skill is reputable, Flare-X is optimized for AMD processors, and has pricing that was very competitive vs RAM that wasn't manufactured with AMD in mind. You've clearly already assessed the requirements and limitations of the PC's RAM, think you'll find this flavor (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820232520) RAM to be within $20 of the product you linked. If it were me, I'd drop the extra $20 and go with the G-Skill.

- Answer this is so confusing. I did run CUPid and found my ram is Samsung M378A1K43CB2-CTD is a unbuffered DIMM non-ECC DDR4 2666MHz 288Pin with 8GB capacity (1Gx64). But the HP Answer is it is PC4-19200 2400MHz 288Pin. so which is it? Is a 2nd 2666 8GB in the 2nd slot going to work? I Don't see why not, but they can't seem to answer if both will work, they just say its 2400 because the MOBO specs state it works with PC4-19200 2400 Ram. If that is true, why did they put in the PC4-21300 2666MHz Ram?

- Answer The motherboard is only allowing the processor to be upgraded to AMD Ryzen7-2700 (Pinnacle Ridge) 8 cores/16 threads. - Answer Yes, the computer runs at higher temperatures under stress but there are internal protections that will notify you if it exceeds safe operating temps.
