A:AnswerMine did that for a moment, but I wen online and followed the instructions from HP on how to fix touch-screen issues and have not had any more problems.
A:AnswerThis laptop comes with a full Windows 8.1 operating system (upgradeable to Windows 10) so a program such as Adobe reader, flash player and Java to name a few will work just fine.
A:AnswerThe RAM can be upgraded but requires taking apart the whole computer including the motherboard since the RAM is located on the bottom of the motherboard. According to Crucial it has 2 slots and a max of 16GB, however it may only be 1 slot, I am not sure.
The hard drive can be upgraded by removing the keyboard and simply unscrewing the hard drive bay.
Overall this takes a skilled user to do the upgrades.
A:AnswerI'm guessing you're looking at $80 plus labor. This is based on going prices for an 8GB card for new HP models. It looks like this model has one slot only, so you can't do 2x4GB. Also, looking at the manual, the entire machine has to come apart to get to it. So it would be an involved task for a DIYer. I've installed RAM before and would not plan to attempt this. So figure install costs would be $100 - $200 at least.
A:AnswerI think so, but I'm not 100%. I'm basing this on the fact the repair manual shows a part number for the 1x8GB unit. But, like you, I can't find anything concrete.
A:AnswerI used Miracast to mirror to my LG tv with no extra hardware. There is a slight lag which would be fine for just watching videos but I was playing a game and the slight lag annoyed me.
A:AnswerThat is a very very open ended question.
Is it possible that a machine can run with an SSD even though the original hardware is HDD YES.
As far as switching it yourself depends on your skill level, willingness to learn, the tools you have, and the hardware you are attempting to change. Do you have more specific's?
The cost would be the amount of the hard drive you want to purchase any tools you don't have and possible a new drive disk from the computer manufacture if you don't already have one. Do you have more specific's?
A:AnswerYes, you can download MS Word/Excel. Its Windows 8.1, I believe. But if you haven't purchased it yet, I'd look into other options. Just left a review on it from my own experience, and I can truthfully tell you it wasn't a good one.
