I did the same thing, you need to make an account and sign up for student deals, they will send you an email where you will have multiple student offers, click on the offer that says save 100 on select laptops. Then you will be able to see a code that you enter on checkout bringing your total to 610 after taxes.

Then login/register for a Best Buy account and sign up to their student program, only takes like a minute or two. And then they should email you the codes you can use online and in store on items that are eligible for the student deal.
