Is the keyboard backlit? null

Yes, the keyboard is backlit on this laptop.

I was expecting the back light to just come on when I touched the keyboard which is how my husband's Dell works. I couldn't figure out and called HP. They said it wasn't backlit! BUT... while talking to them I explored the F keys and discovered that it requires 2 taps of the F11 key (not using Fn key with it) to turn on the back light. It stays on until you turn it off. HTH.
