QuestionI just bought this laptop and in the pictures of this laptop it shows a micro chip on the right side of the case .The one I have does not have one. Why not. I bought this laptop for this reason because I take alot of pictures and want to downlaod them.

- Answer Uhg! I feel your pain. 2 hours on the phone with Best Buy just to figure out they are using a different computer in their photos. I too bought this one because I wanted the mini SD card slot! Phone call(s) were a nightmare. I was told I could return it or buy a separate reader that I could plug into the USB port. What a hassle to return an electronic, especially when it’s no fault of your own. The specs of this computer show it does not come with the micro chip reader. So sorry for your inconvenience.

QuestionWhat is the difference between this model (14m-dy1033dx) and model 14m-dy0033dx (specs/performance)?

- Answer Thank you for the question. The differences are subtle. The 14m-dy0033dx is an older model (Spring 2021) has a 45-watt adapter (65 watt adapter on the dy-1033), and an Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 (up to 4.2 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology) processor - slightly slower than the 1033's processor (Intel® Core™ i5-1155G7 (up to 4.5 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology). The dy1033 is a tad smaller, at 32.2 x 20.9 x 1.99 cm, vs. the dy0033's dimensions of 32.2 x 20.9 x 2.06 cm.

- Answer Yes. With an inbuilt RAM expansion slot additional 8GB can inserted. It will be increased to 16GB RAM Size

QuestionIs the specification right about there being no headphone jack? It looks like there is one on the left side. I certainly don't won't to always have a USB audio interface on hand if I want to play audio through external speakers.

- Answer Yes! I purchased this computer exactly for my Cricut. It hooked up easily & I can now craft wirelessly. My old computer supposedly had the capability but it was old & fussy. This HP is perfect for Cricut. It runs quickly & if she is anything like me she will love using it with Design Space.

- Answer Yes. You'll need to remove the existing NVMe m.2 drive and replace it with a drive with a higher capacity than the 512 gigabyte unit that the computer comes with.

- Answer It is a 64 bit processor and operating system. Any computer with at least 8 gigabytes of RAM has to be 64 bit to access all of the memory.

- Answer You can, yes. To open the computer, you have to remove the rubber feet from the bottom and take out the screws. The ram is under metal, the square cover. You have to bend out the pins, so you can actually remove the cover and there will be the DIMM slots. You can also upgrade the M.2, but I haven't found it yet as the one that is easily accessible is not the storage drive, it is the intel optane drive.
