QuestionInk CartridgesThe Best Buy Salesperson did mention that this printer just comes with "starter ink" so I want to be able to purchase replacement cartridges for my gift recipient. In seeing what is out there, does this printer have 4 cartridge slots or 5? (I see that some printers have a photo black slot as well as a regular black slot) Thanks!

- Answer 4 cartridge slots, 3 color 1 black. We've printed @ a dozen photos &about the same number of pages of coupons, ink levels are down just a fraction - think the enclosed cartridges will last a while.

- Answer It is an inkjet printer. Inkjets use ink cartridges, where a laser printer uses toner.

QuestionDoes this come with a USB cable ?Was wondering if I have to buy a USB cable separately? I know it is wireless but since I'm buying for a gift for an elderly couple, I'd rather just wire it in. I have a wireless printer but the connection is spotty at times. I'd rather the gift recipient not have to worry about the connection. Thanks!

Questionpaper tray questionHow muh 8x10 paper will this printer hold? It appears it doesn't hold very much or i'm loading it wrong. Seems like the photo tray has to come all the way out to load paper & it doesn't appear to hold much paper. Am i loading it wrong?

- Answer Holds about 1/3 standard pack of paper. To fully load it is easiest to pull tray out, however I have had no issues loading with tray in place.

QuestionAirprint Included?The description says it is Airprint capable. Does that mean it includes what is needed to print directly from an iPhone or iPad? Or does it mean that it can have an Airprint box connected to it?

- Answer AirPrint is built in. You will need to install the free app on your iPhone or iPad. You will be assigned an email ID to enter in order to send pictures from your device. I tried it right after I got the printer, and it worked fine and was easy to do.

QuestionWhy is my HP 6520 printer using so much ink?My old HP printer....the black ink would last at least a year(using grayscale) and the color almost 2 years.....I have had this printer less than 6 months..... I do not print as much as I use to and I have already gone thru the ink that came with the printer PLUS I am already getting low on the colored/black ink that I installed!!!!!!!!! There is no way I have printed 600 to 800 pages....the only reason I bought a new printer is because the old printer was not compatible with new computer......help please!!!!!!!

- Answer Can't respond to why you are using so much black ink on the newly-installed cartridge. The cartridges included with all new printers contain a minimal amount of ink -- usually just enough to last a few days with normal usage. That way, you have to turn around and buy a new supply of replacement cartridges. If you are not buying the high-capacity cartridges, you should look at doing so. They are more money up front, but the cost-per-page is usually significantly less than with the standard capacity ones.

- Answer good question. however this sounds like a software issue/choice rather than a print setting. if you are using MS Word you can set these values in the MAILINGS tab under ENVELOPES.

- Answer No you can connect it to your computer using a USB cable. That is the way I have it connected even though I have wireless capability.

- Answer The black ink cartridge will only fit int he black ink cartridge slot. If you want to print a black and white document using black ink only, do one of the following according to your operating system. ◦ On Windows: Open your printer software, click Set Preferences. On the Paper/Quality tab, click Advanced. Select Black Ink Only from the Print in Grayscale drop-down list under Printer Features. ◦ On Mac: From the Print dialog box, choose the Paper Type/Quality pane, click Color Options, and then choose Grayscale from the Color pop-up menu
