QuestionFor anyone that has bought one, how is the fan noise? I returned a regular gem cut model a few months ago because the fan made a whistling noise.

- Answer Hiya - I bought mine on July 3rd. Quite happy with it in all respects, especially the amazing 4k screen. Regarding fan noise, it was VERY loud when I first got it and seemed to run always even when temps were down to 35c, but a recent BIOS update has addressed that very nicely. It runs very cool and you are able to adjust a bit to suit need withing the HP Command Center settings. The loudest one is the Cool setting since it will ramp up the fan; performance is middling level, and balanced is practically silent - though it will run you a bit warmer than I personally care to. Pick your level and you are good to go. Cheers! =)

QuestionDoes it have Optane or not? Description says it does, specs say no HD accelerator. What's correct?

- Answer The hard drive properties in Windows confirm that it does have Optane, as specified on the HP website.

QuestionHaving trouble finding a dock that works with it. I have tried 11 port Hyper Drive Ultimate USB-C Hub and J5Create JCD643 USB-C Triple Display Docking with no luck. Any suggestions? I see that HP has a couple with limited ports or very expensive.

- Answer I would think it would have to do with either not having the proper driver or the power draw is too much for the port, but I would think it would have come with a dedicated PS. Are the ones you tried compatible with thunderbolt. Thunderbolt is not a USB port but uses PCIe. It theoretically should work if its designed to be thunderbolt compatible. Please post what wound up working as I'm curious myself.

QuestionI am looking at the HP df0070nr online, and this df0043dx was the most comparable item. The only difference i see in the comparison is the df0070nr has the 32 GB Intel Optane Memory for storage acceleration. Does the df0043dx model have this feature?

QuestionTo any owners, how is the grey uniformity of your OLED display? I just received mine from HP and the grey uniformity is terrible at anything under 20%. It isn't noticeable with real world content, but I'm just curious if I got a bad panel.

- Answer Yes, mine has 3 different USB ports one of which is the one you mentioned. See the Setup Instructions that came with the Lap Top if you can't find it it's on line at HP. All 3 are on the right side of the key board To access the user guide, select the START icon on the Lap Top, select HP and then HP Documents

QuestionThe spec and the title description of the product don't match. The spec indicates that this is NOT an OLED display. Is this really an OLED display? HP has not even released OLED for the Spectre x360 on their webiste yet.

- Answer It absolutely is the new OLED model. Clearly the most amazing laptop display in the store, where I bought it yesterday. Apparently released at Best Buy a few days ago, as also discussed by a few reviewers on their web pages and Youtube channels. For unknown reasons, neither Best Buy nor HP advertises the OLED display as a special feature, and both websites as well as the specifications on the box show inconsistent specifications for the display.

QuestionIs the tile listing wrong? Read the specs. Display type says LCD. Also OLED on this model has not been released yet by HP.
