I use this laptop for engineering design and will leave it running for long hours. I have yet to have this problem. In fact, it remains relatively cool for long periods of time..nothing like my Dell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question. This computer does not have any known overheating issues. HP laptops come with a technology called CoolSense now which is like an AC for your computer. The SSD definitely helps with keeping the computer cool. This laptop has an efficient processor and lots of RAM so most of the work done on the computer will not be demanding. I hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've noticed that mine does get very hot in the top left area especially if have more than one tab opened with streaming video and the fan stays on the whole time. It shouldn't be doing that with an i7 and 16gb of ram and i'm hoping its a BIOS issue or something. Another thing those rubber feet at the bottom are very tiny because of the tablet mode capability and so they get blocked very easily so you really have to make sure you are using it on a hard flat surface.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a brand new Spectre x360 with a 15 inch screen with 16GB RAM and 256 SSD. Laptop gets too hot on bottom of unit to keep on my lap. Will probably have to return item
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Never had the problem myself. Fan does come on more if vents are blocked as when I am using in bed on lap. Also, you should disassemble laptop and clean at least once per year. Dust accumulates on components, fans, vents and causes over heating. Additionally, even with Windows 10, a clean install is a good idea at least once per year.
