I am surprised how little volume the HP SPectre x360 2-in-1 15.6" produces. I do not really use it watch movies or play music, but I expected it to be louder at full volume. I do not have a quantitative measure of decibels, but it is not that loud. I love the computer and it does not impact my use.

I can tell you the hp is impressive. I went through multiple computers before settling on this one. The screen is the best I've seen thus far and the sound is pretty good with the up firing speakers. The computer is very light and runs really cool with just normal use.

The sound quality on the HP Spectre is amazing due to the Bang & Olufsen speakers. Unfortunately, when used in tablet mode, the speakers are on the keyboard side so they face downward. In laptop mode, it is amazing. Overall, I would recommend the HP Spectre over the MacBook Pro in terms of both display and sound. The only reason I can see to get the MacBook over the Spectre is if you use a lot of other apple products that will work well with the MacBook or you just have money to burn.
