  • QuestionWhat type of ram card would be best to use for this laptop if i want 16 or 32 ram

    Asked by Kt.

    • Answer Ddr4 3200hz ram is optimal choice. Either get it directly from HP or from another company. This laptop is officially caped at 32 G, but some people claim to have gotten it up to 64 G.

  • QuestionWhat ram is compatible

    Asked by Lalo.

    • Answer Ddr4 3200hz ram is recommended for this PC. It can upgrade to 32 G officially but some claim that it can take up to 64 G. I have upgraded mine to 24 G so im sure the 32 G is legit. I would take the 64 G claim with a grain of salt.

    Asked by Angels62.

    • Answer Speakers are decent but will leave music lovers disappointed. I just connected the PC to my dual Bluetooth speakers in my room and haven’t thought about using the in house speakers other then for voice calls or swiping game audio to the PC.

  • Question2160p HDR 60hz follow up question. What does the HDMI 2.1 port do if I have to use the USB-C port with DP 1.4? Shouldn't the HDMI port output that resolution? Does HDMI sell licenses for only certain capabilities? Did you skip the 4k@120, 8k@60 one?

    Asked by FoxMulder.

    • Answer Hi, and thank you for asking the question! If you have to use the USB-C port, then the HDMI port does nothing for you. The advantage of DP 1.4 comes about if you have multiple monitors daisy changed together. I'm not sure why you're asking about the capabilities of the HDMI output if you've got to use the USB-C for your output.

  • QuestionHello. Would the following hard drive work to replace the old one?? My original crashed.

    Asked by Alex77.

    • Answer HI Alex77, and thank you for your quesiton I'm not sure what you're asking about when you talk about the "hard drive", because what you've linked to is a computer, not just a hard drive (or a solid state drive). If you do mean the whole computer, it will probably work to replace your crashed computer, although I can't say for certain because you haven't said what your crashed computer is.

    • Answer Yes, the HP Victus 15.6" Full HD 144Hz Gaming Laptop can run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The laptop has the minimum and recommended system requirements to run the game. Here are the minimum system requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020: CPU: Intel Core i5 4460 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 RAM: 8GB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2GB or AMD Radeon RX 570 2GB Storage: 120GB SSD Internet: Broadband internet connection Here are the recommended system requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020: CPU: Intel Core i5 10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 16GB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Storage: 150GB SSD Internet: Broadband internet connection As you can see, the HP Victus 15.6" Full HD 144Hz Gaming Laptop exceeds the minimum system requirements and meets the recommended system requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. • QuestionCan I Switch that one 8gb ddr 4 stick with a ddr5 ram stick?

    Asked by Aritro.

    • Answer Unfortunately, you cannot switch a DDR4 RAM stick with a DDR5 RAM stick. DDR4 and DDR5 are different types of RAM that are not compatible with each other. DDR5 is the newer and faster type of RAM, but it is not backward compatible with DDR4. This means that you cannot use a DDR5 RAM stick in a DDR4 motherboard, and vice versa. If you want to upgrade your RAM to DDR5, you will need to buy a new motherboard that supports DDR5. DDR5 motherboards are still relatively new and expensive, so you may want to wait a few years until the prices come down before upgrading. In the meantime, you can still upgrade your RAM to a faster DDR4 stick. DDR4-3200 is a good option for gaming laptops, and it will give you a noticeable performance boost over DDR4-2666.

  • QuestionI bought a CT2K16G4SFRA32A RAM Kit. I swapped out the one 8GB RAM stick for the two RAM sticks and the laptop is not powering on. Isn't this RAM compatible?

    Asked by CO.

    • Answer Based on the specifications you provided, the CT2K16G4SFRA32A RAM Kit is compatible with the HP Victus 15.6" Full HD 144Hz Gaming Laptop. It supports DDR4-3200 memory, which is the same type of RAM that the laptop has. It also has the same capacity of 16GB. However, there are a few other things that could be causing the laptop not to power on. Here are a few things to check: Make sure that the RAM sticks are properly seated in the slots. Try reseating the RAM sticks. If you are using two RAM sticks, make sure that they are compatible with each other. If you are using a third-party RAM upgrade, make sure that it is compatible with the laptop. Try clearing the CMOS. If you have checked all of these things and the laptop is still not powering on, you may need to contact HP support for further assistance.
