- Answer Absolutely, you can ride this as just a traditional bicycle. You can turn the electric assist off if you prefer.

- Answer Its only a pedal assit. To put a throttle on you would have to contact huffy themselves and and see what kind conversion kit the have.

- Answer Yes. Once you start pedaling the restistor sensors will the tell the computer you haveing some king of resistance and activate the motor to help you out
