QuestionHi I bought a Samsung A450 connected to my 65” samsung tv via optical cable and I notice the Samsung A450 is way way louder on BT than the optical cable why is this ? And what should i do to equal the sound *settings on tv have been checked

- Answer Hi Marty, Make sure that the HW-A450 is on the latest firmware update (ver. 1015) using a USB device. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/?model=N0054639&modelCode=HW-A450/ZA You can also try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, or ADAPTIVE. ^Andrew

QuestionI've been having issues with the subwoofer volume when I have my devices connected, to find that it works just fine when my friend's iPhone is connected. Im confused as to what's going on. Why does the subwoofer volume not work with my own devices?

QuestionI have connected, I have sound and it sounds great but when I push for the settings menu or source, shouldn't I see some kind of menu? Currently I am guessing at the button input. I installed with the cables it came with, Thanks.

- Answer Hi! The HW-A450 is compatible with the SWA-9100S rear speaker kit. The HW-A450 will not connect to previous model rear speaker kits from Samsung. ^Tim

QuestionHi Will the sound bar automatically go on when the tv is put on? I just purchased a Samsung Smart TV TY8000. I have a older Polk sound bar, it is bluetooth. It is a pain when you have to turn soundbar on manually. and it goes off when you put on hold

- Answer Not that I am aware. But, if you have multiple A450's they will sync via Bluetooth, and same sounds can be played in multiple/different rooms

QuestionI pickup and set up the Samsung HW-A450 sound bar can some one tell me does the remote run on batteries what size and how to insert the batteries ? The directions failed to explain.

- Answer Hi Muddog7682, Slide the back cover in the direction of the arrow until it is completely removed. Insert 2 AA batteries (1.5V) oriented so that their polarity is correct. Slide the back cover back into position. if you shine a light where the batteries go you will see how to line up the + and - of each battery. ^Andrew

- Answer Hi! The HW-A450 features two ways to connect to an external device: Digital optical audio, and Bluetooth wireless audio technology. If your TV is compatible with one of these two audio connections, you should have no issue connecting the soundbar to your TV. ^Andrew

- Answer If your TV has audio out puts, yes but probably need connecting cords. Best Buy can help with that. Take a picture of your TV audio outputs. This will be probably RCA phono or a multi jack. Most sound bars work best with optical cables, common in newer TVs.
