• A:Answer No, you couldn't use this for a Macbook from 2013. The older MacBook does not have the ports that this adapter uses (USB-C vs. Thuderbolt 2)

• A:Answer It does work with UAG Pylo case. User has to remove the black mounting plate on the hub when it's plugged into a MacBook with hard case. If leaving the case on, you will want to use the included USB-C Extension Cable.

Q: QuestionHyperdrive fit is so tight that it is hard to insert, and removing the flash drive from it scars the flash drive. Is this a problem, or is this built in to the product?

• A:Answer Mine was a hard fit too, but it works well once I got it fitted. This was my second try at one, first one was not compatible with the newest MacPro I’ve had no issues with this one working.

Q: QuestionDo you need Big Sur? Just bought a new Macbook pro and restored my files with OS 10.15.7 Catalina. Tried several devices, memory stick, WD 8 giga drive. All dead. Used the USB-C extension. The unit doesn't work. Rebooted the computer, nothing.

• A:Answer If it is anything like my MacBook Pro, no you can not shut the lid with it plugged in unless you are willing to take off the dark gray piece which is meant to support the device (but also stops the lid from closing). I would highly recommend you not remove the gray piece because then the device and all your cables and accidental bumps WILL destroy your USB ports.

You have the HDMI and Mini DP ports to perform this function. I hope this helps in your decision-making for a hub. A hub would be fantastic to add additional ports to your great computer.

• A:Answer Mahallo, Viewing the specifications for the five computers this specific MSI series, the best HyperDrives to use would be our universal USB-C hubs . These hubs would be our 7, 9, and 11 port universal USB-C hubs. It appears the Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C Gen2 connections are on opposite ends of the laptops for this particular series.
