A:AnswerIt depends on what platform you're trying to use the mic on. If it's discord you have to tweak the mic settings and the sensitivity threshold for it to sound good. If it's something like Skype, probably have to tweak your computer settings for the mic. For any games you play, probably should check the audio settings in game. Hope it helped.
A:AnswerCloud 2 is the older model and the 3.5mm cable is not detachable (only mic is detachable) and does come with the 7.1 surround dongle. Alpha is the new version...slightly lighter....better sound frequency...no 7.1 dongle. Alpha S is just like Alpha with the 7.1 dongle.
Overall...the 7.1 surround means nothing....not much difference at all.
Cloud 2 and Alpha are same price for $60. Personally I like the Alpha....simple....nothing crazy....sounded better. I got the Alpha for $60 (BB price matched with the current sale from HyperX website).........S is on sale for $80.....and BB will match the price.....but I don't see the $20 extra value for the 7.1 dongle.
