Q: Questiona)HMIQ1S-XX-RG/G b)4P5P7AA Some products are sold with serial number HMIQ1S-XX-RG/G, while others are sold with serial number 4P5P7AA. What is the difference between these serial numbers?

• A:Answer Hi Firatyasa, The first part number (HMIQ1S-XX-RG/G) is for when the HyperX brand and products belonged to parent company Kingston Technology. However on June 1st 2021, the HyperX brand and its peripheral products were acquired by Hewlett Packard (HP) - the computer/printer company. As a result all HyperX products had their Product Numbers changed to fit the Part Number system that HP uses. The products themselves remain identical, so it doesn't matter if you get HMIQ1S-XX-RG/G or 4P5P7AA.
