This card will recognize only 4 monitors at a time MAX. Yes, it has 3 Displayports, 1 Hdmi, and a USB C... but the computer will ignore any monitors past the 4th one. For example, I have 3 monitors on Dp and 1 on USB C. I also have HTC Vive on HDMI, but have to disable or unplug one monitor for my pc to recognize the Headset. Windows considers your VR headset as an additional monitor. This is a year late, but applies to most NVidia cards. Just keep in mind that # of ports does not equal # of monitors. Hopefully this response will help someone in the future.

I have discovered that windows 10 can be a bit fussy about what is plugged in where. It just takes some time and luck to find the sequence of connections its happy with. For example.. My current setup is working better now that I have my main monitor hooked up using display port vs. HDMI...

For me I have the side panel display from DVI to DisplayPort 1, 27in 1440p Monitor from DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1, 55in 4k TV from HDMI (2.0) to DisplayPort Oculus Rift/Samsung Odyssey+ n an HDMI switch to HDMI and that leaves the USB-C for another monitor. Please note USB-C used in ALT mode is NOT Thunderbolt 3and will no process data or act a USB interface.
