As long as your portable DVD player has a headphone jack, any speaker with an aux input should work, you just need a 3.5mm aux cable to connect the two. This product the ISB07B has a different type of aux input, that would require the cable to have a mini-usb at one end and a 3.5mm aux jack on the other.
