“How do I open the microwave for the first time? I just took it out of the package and the door won’t open when I hit the button. I plugged it in and it began to heat. I quickly hit the unlock button key with no luck so I turned it off.”

• This only had blue tape in the back for the cord. No tape anywhere else which is odd because I had purchased another microwave for a family member in the past which had tape everywhere. Still won’t open.

• It should open by pressing the large silver bottom below the input panel.

• Did you check to see if it isn't taped shut? Mine was, so I had to remove it.
