When you want to defrost or unplug it for period of time , it sits under the freezer portion and catches the water from the frost as it melts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Kitchen-sized refrigerators have mechanisms to handle the frost that builds up on the side of the freezer areas. This smaller unit does not have that ability. The drip tray is for helping when you need to defrost the freezer (only necessary occasionally when the condensation builds up too much on the side of the freezer area). This is done by taking out the food, unplugging the unit, and then the ice melts and drips into the tray. So you won't need it on a regular basis...only when you defrost the freezer. That's probably why they don't mention where it goes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The drip tray fell off when carrying a mini freezer/fridge black color older. I knead to know where to put it back on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Under the freezer part is where it goes. It is for catching water when the freezer is defrosting or if open to long some of the frost may melt.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Every now and then you will need to unplug the unit and defrost the ice buildup on the cooling coils. The tray works perfectly for catching the water.
