“Will this cable work with the Microsoft Surface Dock 1?”

• My configuration is Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 coupled to a Surface Dock. Second monitor is a Samsung S27D802EAN, 4K monitor. This monitor works using a Insignia USB C (plugged into my computer) to HDMI cable to the Samsung monitor. It does not work (not recognized as connected}, using an Insignia mini-port to HDMI cable connecting my Surface Dock to the Samsung monitor. Other devices connected to the Dock work. So, my question is has anyone had success connecting a 2nd monitor using a Surface Dock and a mini-port to HDMI cable?
